“Candles in the Window,” written and performed by Kathleen Ann Thompson, will be presented in Gaither Chapel on Friday, November 7 at 8:00. More than 100 students and faculty from local colleges and universities that offer Outdoor Programs, along with professionals from across the Outdoor Business spectrum gathered at Montreat College for the 16th Adventure Education Conference today. Whitney Montgomery, Executive Director of the North Carolina Outward Bound School, gave the conference’s keynote address in the historic Manor House on the Montreat College In the Oaks campus. Conference participants were able to attend a variety of workshops including “The Impact of Crowding on Outdoor Recreation” and “Voice of the Rivers: Savannah River Expedition” as well as browse the offerings of local exhibitors during the one-day event.
