M.S. from Pennsylvania State University in Forest Resources. 
Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in Ecology.

Work Experience
Worked as a research assistant at Penn State for 5 years.
Worked in the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry as a Forester.
Worked as a private forestry consultant.

Teaching Experience
Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Montreat College since 1996.
Instructor of Forestry at Penn State for 1 1/2 years.
 
Affiliations

Member of the American Society of Foresters.
Member of the Ecological Society of America.
Member of the Arbor Day Foundation.
Member of two National Honor Societies, Xi Sigma Pi and Gamma Sigma Delta.
Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters.
